Submit a show to the Podcast Channel today!

You can submit a podcast show to the Podcast Channel via an RSS feed that’s hosted by a third-party hosting provider, or you can have our production team help you produce a show through our Studio Podcasts engineering cooperative.  You can participate in our Podcast Posting Program as well and get your shows featured on the channel. You can also create a show on your own using our tools and applications we will be offering here.

All shows that want to be featured or appear on our programs list must pass technical validations and a review process before they’re made available on our Podcast Channel.

2.   Choose “Add a show with an RSS feed.”

3.   Enter the RSS feed URL.

4.   Choose whether you’d like to restrict user access to the show within your Podcast Channel Connect account. If you choose to restrict access, and have already set up users in the Account menu, only the users you choose will see the show in Podcast Channel Connect.

5.   Click Save.

6.   Review your show details on the Show Information Page to ensure everything looks correct.

7.   Provide contact information for the show, so we can reach someone if there’s an issue.

8.   On the left, choose Availability.

o   Countries or Regions: Choose where you want your show to be available. You can edit availability at any time.

o   Distribution: Choose whether you’d like to make your feed publicly available. Selecting this option makes your RSS feed available in the Podcast Channel Catalog API which allows podcast app developers to include your show in their app.

o   Show Release: Choose whether you want your show to be released right away or select a date and time to release it on Podcast Channel.

9.           Click Save.

11.                   Set the Content Rights and confirm that your show has         rights to any third-party content it may contain.

12.                   Submit your show for review.

Your RSS feed will be validated before it’s sent into the distribution feed. If there’s an issue, a warning message will appear and must be resolved before you can submit the show.

If you’re a member of the channel, you will be able to soon add subscriber audio to your RSS feed-based show in Podcast Channel Connect. Then, you can link the audio files together.

o   Name: The name of your show. You can enter up to 150 characters.

o   Artist: The artist most often refers to the parent company or network of a podcast, but it can also be used to identify the host(s) if none exists.

o   Description: One or more sentences describing your episode to potential listeners. You can enter up to 4000 characters.

o   Channel (optional): Can only be updated when managing channels. You can add your show to a channel if you want it to be grouped with other shows on your account or if you are adding paid content to your show. Keep in mind that moving a show between channels could affect your subscriber access. A show can be associated with only one channel.

o   Type: Indicates whether it’s an episodic or serial show. Episodic shows can be consumed without any specific order. Podcast Channel will present newest episodes first and display the publish date (required) of each episode. If organized into seasons, the newest season will be presented first — otherwise, episodes will be grouped by year published, newest first. Serial shows are intended to be consumed in sequential order. Podcast Channel will present the oldest episodes first and display the episode numbers of each episode. If organized into seasons, the newest season will be presented first and episode numbers must be given for each episode.

o   Update Frequency: This appears in Podcast Channel and lets your listeners know how often you plan to update your show with new episodes.

o   Category: Select the category that best reflects the content of your show. If available, you can also define a subcategory.

o   Explicit Content: Podcasts containing explicit material can‘t be distributed in some countries and regions.

o   Language: The language spoken on the show.

o   Show Website: If your show has a website, enter the URL.

o   Copyright: If your show is copyrighted, enter the copyright details.
